After
reading Alan Brodrick's article in Classic Bike magazine, I found
myself browsing club member Carrick Watsons site (www.carrickdesign.co.uk/Brough/Main.htm)
There I found the same 11.50 for sale that Alan owned back in the
70's.

Alan's article ended with the 11.50 being sold overseas, after checking
with the club machine register the bike shows owner ship
in Australia by a Mr Lancini as of 1998.
I
contacted the present owner, this is the reply I received.........................
'Hello
Darren,
The Brough you are talking about as I understand it was purchased by
Victor Lancini from Halifax in North Queensland.
I myself bought the
bike from his son Ian after his father had passed away.
The Brough 1150 is now undergoing restoration. The motor is in excellent
order and internally need not be touched. The frame and forks need re-bushing
and the front brakes will need re-lining with softer shoes.
I will need to sweat new bars in as they are not right. Other than
that
the
bike runs really well with the mag-dyno the only
thing needing repair when I first bought it.
Classic Bike did an article
on it in 84 while still in England,
Its still the same in appearance.
Should I be of more assistance let me know.'
Jeffrey McAlister - Australia.

As
far as I know the 11.50 is still for sale, anyone wishing to purchase
the bike please contact Jeffrey at this address : jmca@integritynet.com.au
